Up the mountain half way between Volcan and Cerro Punta is an area called Bambito. Back off of the road is a nice little hotel and hidden away behind the hotel is a road that goes up the mountain to a house. We have been up the road before but this year we discovered that there is another road near the top going off to the right that we either didn't notice before or it is newly made, not sure which. At the top of the hill we were thrilled to find a lovely vista opened up.
Here we are at the top of the hill with a father looking up to his son, oh how the tables have turned. I thought it was supposed to be the other way around.
Even further on up the road turned into a trail which ended at a communications tower. From there we could see way down into the valley below.
A huge boulder had fallen down, mercifully Hercules was with us to hold it up while I wedged it..go Herc, go!
