The other day Donna came over to watch the birds in the bath. They really start to have a good time at about 2:00 and that will carry on until at least 5:00. She came over and we watched for about an hour and just as she was about to leave I looked up and spotted this new comer in the pool. Again he looked like God had just been using up all of the leftover paint. I could hardly believe my eyes. Turns out he is a Painted Bunting, quite common in the southern US but rare here. Obviously he was having a great time, and I felt privileged to have seen him..
