Owl

Whadaya know.  Even in the dark I find birds here.  I went out to move a sprinkler the other night and I could see this shape sitting on the little balustrade wall.  I got the camera and with a flash took a picture.  It confirmed my suspicions that he was a little owl, only about 8" high.

He was not the least bit afraid of me and allowed me to take multiple photos and didn't fly until the water from the sprinkler hit him.
