I was up in
Boquete visiting some
acquaintances when we went out on the patio for a visit. I had nicely settled in my chair when Jeniffer noticed a stick on it and went to brush it off. The 'stick' ducked as she took a swipe at it and to our shock and amazement it turned out to be a very large bug. As you can see the thing was about a foot long. Check out the 'bug' eyes. It never moved the whole time I was there and didn't mind being around people. I have read on the internet that they are called stick bugs (I wonder why) and make cool pets. I don't think I'll be taking the next one home but she (I say 'she' because the females are apparently bigger) really was way cool!
