When I came back from Florida I noticed a little nest under construction. It is in the bushes behind the bird bath. I was so excited to think that these little guys consider this to be primo real estate. An area where you'd want to settle down and raise the kids. .
It turns out the house belongs to this little guy who is obviously not done building. My book identifies him as a Common Tody-Flycatcher. Any bird that catches insects is OK with me.Here he is from behind, same little guy. He is tiny, about the same size as a wren.
