This year, more good news, we have another house under construction. John Gilmore is building on his lot just across from our balcony. Although he had to remove the trees that the toucans liked to visit in I am sure that we will eventually get some replacements.
John is being his own contractor and is not afraid to get his hands dirty.
I put this picture in so that you can see how deep the footings for the support columns are. Of course this man is squatting down but you can see how deep they are.
So being forward thinking John brought in cement trucks to pour the footings. It was almost all done in one day as a result. You can see Donna and Ron's house in the background.
