Today we took Spencer to the airport to catch the morning flight. His plane didn't leave until 8:45 tonight but we didn't want to chance him being late for any reason so we sent him off this morning. He was going to sight see in Panama City for the day. After droping him off we did a bit of shopping and then headed out to the beach to see some friends.
On the way back from the beach, as it was getting dark we were held up in a small town by a Christmas Parade. It lasted about 10 minutes so we considered ourselves lucky. Well, our llluck ran out since I am typing this from our car as we sit one block off of main street in Conception unable to move. When we got to Concception what do you know, another parade! We turned around and went over a block or two to try to get around it but it seems it spread all over town. The nice police man here told us it would be about 10 more minutes. Well, that was about 1 hour ago and there is no end in shight. Now Butch has noticed that it is snaking up at the end of the next block in front of us and the part we can see is the part that was there when the policeman told us it would be 10 more minutes. HELP!!!!

From now on carry Santa hats in your vehicle and then join the parade and wave to the crowds as you go by!

In the absence of snow, a parade is probably the best way to get into the Christmas spirit - the more the merrier! Will you be missing the "white Christmas" thing? I hope Santa remembers his rain gear when he visits us.
