Boca Chica

When Wayne and Leanne were here we took a day trip to Boca Chica.  The turn off to Boca Chica which is at Horcancito was also one of the places where the Interamericana Highway was blockaded.  Boca Chica is just a small town but there are some nice fishing resorts there.  There are several islands in the area and a dock with small boats to take you out to an island or out snorkeling.  We decided just to take the boat over to Boca Brava and have lunch at a nice restaurant on the top of the hill.  Leanne does not fare well in boats so we wanted to keep our water travel to a minimum.  This first picture was taken from the stairs that lead up to the restaurant.  You wouldn't want to make the climb is you were a potential heart attack victim.
There was a little door on the roof top so Wayne went up and took the next two pictures.  He stuck his head out but there was just a little railing and it was very windy, he thought he might blow off so he just snapped a couple of shots inside and out then came back down.

This is the little panga that we traveled back and forth in.  It was quite expensive $3 each one way so we jewed them down to $20 for everyone.
On the way back we investigated a new development going up in the area called Bocas del Mar.  It is going to be a first class place but oh my Lord it was HOT there even the wind was hot.  I don't think I would like to own a condo in that place.
