The good news is that by this time next year we will have a neighbor. Abigail started the construction of Donna and Ron's house about a month ago. He brought in a machine to do the excavations as there was a lot of earth to move. He has now got the cement poured into the footings for the garage part and is putting up the steel for the back wall. This wall will be poured because it will be set into the earth as the garage will be underneath the bedrooms. The bedrooms will be two steps up from the living room/kitchen area so basically the upper floors will be on one level with the garage underneath. This will give them sufficient altitude to have a balcony off of the bedrooms. It is going to be a very cool house.
Abigail in accordance with new regulations bought all the men hard hats and vests and work boots. They all look so pristine in their new duds. I give it about a week until they all look like they have been through the wringer. I got a kick out of this picture below. All that safety gear and what is he doing but balancing on a teeterie pile of 3 bricks. I could just picture him doing the splits if that pile went over...yesh!
From behind they all look to be about 10 years old.
