Insulating the Roof

This is the last of the roofing going on. These guys are laying out the insulation which looks like silver coated bubble pack. Then they put the tin on it. The push is on to finish by 3:30 today because we are having the 'roof on' party then. This is tradition here and we must hold with tradition. All of the workers will be there and any friends and family who choose to come. We will have 20-25 people. The real traditional dish is called 'mondongo' and is like a stew made with trype which I believe is the stomach of the cow. I don't know how to make it so we will be serving up domino's pizza and KFC and coke. No beer at this one because our builder and consequently his crew are Seventh Day Adventists so we will not offend him by bringing liquor. I am sure there will be some there who would prefer a cold beer to coke but they will have to make due. It is going to be a busy day for us.

How was your "roof on" party? You must be so happy to have your ceilings all done - no more water inside the house - right?
