MBR Shower

Here is a shot of the MBR. It doesn't look like much in this picture but the glass block window is designed for light as well as security. It has steel bars embedded into the spaces between the blocks so that if someone were to break the glass they still couldn't get in. You can see my mattress there but I do have a bedroom suite. It is in the picture below as I saw it in the store. The credenza will fit along the wall opposite the bed and is designed for a TV although we don't watch TV in bed as a rule.

This is the sitting room off of the MBR. There will be some french doors here to divide the rooms and I think that this room is going to contain exercise equipment because it is difficult to get exercise here since the road is narrow with no shoulders and is really too dangerous for walking in my opinion. Linda and I did go for a walk one night but we were constantly dodging cars. Eventually I plan to have a murphy bed built for this room as well to accommodate guests if need be.

As you enter the MBR from the main house you drop down 2 steps which takes you past the glass block wall which forms the back side of the shower in the MBR bath. This wall is one of my favorite features in the house.

Except for the floor the shower is not tiled. It is usable albeit with only a single provisional COLD water tap. This is what it looks like from inside. Eventually the whole thing will be tiled but it is way cool the way it is. There is no need for a door as the water doesn't splash that way at all. The water here is lovely and soft. We have treated local water and it is safe to drink from the tap which is a bonus. That is one thing about Panama, they for the most part have a good water supply. We don't drink it in Bocas because of all the sewage discharged into the ocean but so far everywhere else we have with no ill effects.
