This is a picture of the roof over the outdoor cooking area. It is kind of cool, because it doesn't show when you look at the house. It is hidden behind the walls, therefore it doesn't need to have the expensive tiles on it it will just get the tin. What is cool about it though is that if you look at the rafters to the left you will see an L shaped piece sticking below them. This piece is to hold the
eves troughs. Then the down spouts are connected to a pipe which is embedded in the concrete. The water then is diverted off of the roof into the pipes which discharge under the sidewalk out into the yard or into the ditch depending on which side the runoff is on.
This is a picture from above so that you can see what I mean when I say it is hidden behind the wall.
The guys are putting the insulation on first.
Here is a closeup of the discharge pipe now that the
eves troughs are in place. This pipe will eventually be encased in concrete and not visible.
And finally the tin is on. You can see the
eves troughs now sitting in the L shaped pieces. The drywall will be attached to the rafters in this case so that in the event there is overflow from the eves it will not run on to and soak up into the drywall.
