The Park is Taking Shape

Just to update you on the progress in the park, I am happy to report that there have been some significant positive developments in this area. John and Rose have finally come up with a concrete plan for the park and have begun to implement it. They have moved the pool location to the top of the hill beside their lot. This is a good place to put it as it will be away from the trees and in an area where it can be placed at a later date if need be without compromising the rest of the park. They have created quite a large flat area at the top surrounding the rancho and encompassing the pool. This area will be grassed. There will be a flat walkway to access the pool at the top of the hill in the event that one cannot negotiate the hill.

It would seem that the plan is reasonably good, certainly better than I thought we were going to get based on Rose's comments about the park over the course of the last year. John has been out there every day for the last week and the man with the machine has been working steady for the last 3 days. John and Rose are leaving on Monday and plan to be back in June to plant the area; both grass and perennials. There was some topsoil brought in today as well. The transformation is really quite dramatic. They left a roadway around the park from the back side that will not be planted to trees but rather left grassed in case there is need to bring a machine in at some later date. I am feeling much more upbeat about the state of the development with what appears to be a good park plan implemented.

My house is progressing slowly as my builder broke his foot a few days ago. He fell off of a scaffold as he was putting up the moulding in the center of the garage. If he had been wearing proper work boots he would have been OK. Could’a, should’a, would’a….luego….Rose
