We are staying at a B&B called La Estancia. It is a bit off of the beaten path but still in Panama City. The rooms are plain but reasonably priced and the wildlife is abundant. We eat breakfast out on the balcony and for the entertainment of the tourists they hang out bunches of bananas. Today's visitors were many birds, mostly tanangers and a couple of parrots. They were very entertaining to watch.
Then some little monkey type critters with very small heads showed up. I have discovered that they are called Geoffery tamarin and when they came in everybody else left. These tamarins are exclusive to the area east of the canal to Columbia and are apparently not found in the rest of Panama. Later at night an opossum came out and was raiding the bananas.
Finally there were squirrels, but much different than the variety we have at home.
One of them was very risque. By looking at this picture below can you tell if this is a boy squirrel or a girl squirrel?
