My New Housekeepers

Lourdes my cleaning lady has not been well lately and will need a hysterectomy as soon as it can be done. As a result she did not really clean the house well in my absence and will not be available for some time. The windows all needed a good cleaning and there were areas like under and behind the barbecue that needed a good scrub down. Jeffery and Hormelius are always asking got any work, got any work for me. I pay them a buck an hour and they will do my bidding. Jeffery was put in charge of window cleaning which he now does like a pro. Hormelius is a bit more of a 'bull in a china shop type' and quite slap happy. To him this day fell the task of vacuuming. That was a real novelty as for the most part they have never seen a vacuum and always just sweep. What really cracked me up though was the hot water. Horemlius was running some water in a pail to rinse out a rag when suddenly he calls Jeffery over jabbering excitedly about the hot water coming out of the tap. He put his hand in and pulled it out like it was scalded. I felt the water to see how hot it actually was only to find it luke warm. It is so funny to watch these kids sometimes, we forget how lucky we are. Jeffery has it all figured out where the hot water heaters are (there are 3 altogether, the on demand type) and they figure it would be really nice to have hot water in the shower in the morning.
