Finally! Backfill

So how do you back fill a house in Panama - no conveyer belts here, no, just dump the sand on the road...
and then get a guy with a wheel barrow to haul it in one load at a time!
As you can see he has been working (actually there were 2 wheel barrows) and now my house is up to grade (almost). I am standing in the kitchen looking out over the living room into the MBR/sitting room at the back. The MBR has a door out to the patio area.
Now I am in the MBR bathroom looking into the MBR/sitting room.
This view is taken from the living room into the kitchen, eating area with the laundry room in the far back part that juts out. The plumber is supposed to come today and lay out the pipes for the plumbing. Also the electrician will come and lay out the electrical. My plans still have not been approved by the electrical department, but that is supposed to be done by tomorrow so if there is a hold up then it will put a stop to construction...Yikes

When the floor is poured every other piece of steel will be bent over to tie the floor to the walls so that it doesn't float. There is a lot of steel in this house so it should be fairly earthquake proof (I hope) Hopefully it will be still standing if and when the volcano ever decides to erupt.
